“Taste Daddy on your lips.”
Lochlan
I was asked to decide between love and loyalty… an impossible choice for a vampire like me. All I wanted was my Daddy.
Fate brought me and Gregory together. But can it keep us together?
Gregory
Lochlan came to me when I was at my worst. He made me feel better. He was all I could’ve wanted, and I didn’t want to share.
When I asked him to run away with me, I never expected his answer. Could it change everything?
Forever meant forever, but when your fated mate was a human, forever was temporary. Would their forever be different?
Daddy’s Darkling is an MM paranormal romance. Featuring a vampire little and a human Daddy. Fated mates seeking their HEA.
ONE
LOCHLAN
Icy drops of snow and crisp winds frosted the windows. They kept this place at a temperature close to a decent commercial refrigerator. It also made the heat from Daddy’s body cut through the atmosphere with a delicious sharpness.
Naked. I didn’t feel the cold. It nipped at me, but it was pleasant.
I wrapped myself in a faux fur blanket, almost wearing it as a shawl.
For two years, I’d loved Daddy. Mostly, I loved his humanity and being fed straight from the source. He was singlehandedly keeping me alive, and yet, I couldn’t completely commit to him. It was an awful feeling. But under the right circumstances, I’d leave this place with him, and never look back.
Every moment with him was bliss.
His sleeping body, sprawled out on the bed as if his limbs were searching for me.
I stood at the foot of the mattress on the ground. Our haven amongst the vampire hive living within the building.
He was my love, my sweet human, and my soft-handed Daddy.
“Hey baby,” he let out through a yawn and a stretch. “You ok?”
The truth was, I wasn’t ok. I hadn’t been ok since he’d given me the ultimatum last week. A choice between him or the vampire who turned me and the compound. I felt disconnected from the world whenever I was with my sweet syrup scented human.
“Listen,” he continued, reaching out for me as he sat up. “I told you to give it a couple weeks.”
I threw my naked body into his arms. “Can’t we just enjoy being together?” I asked, pouting.
Stroking my back, he whispered in my ear. “Baby, I love you. But look at me, I’m getting older, I’m always going to be getting older. I don’t have all the time in the world like you, and you already know, I’m not ready.”
“I know,” I whispered back. I wrapped my legs around him and licked his neck. “I don’t want you to change.” I couldn’t feed from him if he was a vampire. We’d have to feed on other people, maybe together, but it was blood that bonded us. It was fate we found each other. We weren’t like most vampire human relationships. “And you know I can’t just leave.” My tongue ran across the small indentations of where I’d broken his skin before.
He held my head in place, combing his fingers through my hair. “This place has a hold on both of us. But I want us to have our own place with furniture.”
“We have a wardrobe,” I said, pulling away and gesturing to the wooden box where both of our clothes were thrown into. It was obvious whose clothes were whose. Daddy was taller than me, but I liked to wear his flannel shirts sometimes, even if they weren’t the most fashionable.
“And we’ve got savings,” he whispered, hugging me closer. “Don’t you just want to go shopping?”
A giggle escaped me. “I can go shopping whenever I want. You know I don’t need money; they’ll give me what I want.”
Daddy’s throat let out a growl. “Baby. What happened to being a good boy?”
I gasped. “I am a good boy.”
“Good boys don’t steal.”
I knew he was right, and I wanted to be a good boy, but sometimes, being bad was fun. It led to spankings that made me giggle, but withholding blood wasn’t fun. I didn’t like it when he did that.
I sighed. “So, I was thinking—”
“You’re always thinking.”
“Yeah, but this time, I was putting my brain to work,” I told him. “I’ll ask the elders when they get back about how long I have left.”
The elders, Morgan, Piotr, Xavier, and Heleya oversaw the hive.
“Hope they get back soon,” he said. “Did you stay up watching the sun rise?” He kissed my neck.
I had watched it from the window. They were treated so that the UV didn’t come in and burn me alive. “It’s never the same as I remember it when I was human.”
“I think they’re overrated,” he said. “And I probably have thirty minutes until I’m needed out there.” He shuffled forward on his hips while my legs wrapped harder around his waist.
Humans, like my sweet one, were mostly at the mercy of the vampires. They worked here. Daddy, while outside of our cold room, was a handyman. He also ran errands and took care of things during the daylight hours.
“It’s almost time for me to sleep,” I said, bearing down my weight on top of the hardness bulging up from beneath the sheet covering him. “Feed me, Daddy.”
Our noses pressed together, my septum piercing tickling my nostrils. He stared deep into my eyes. “You wanna taste Daddy on your lips?”
Sticking my tongue out, he didn’t even need to ask. “I promise not to drink too much,” I offered up an in infantile tone. “But you’re so delicious.”
Daddy moved his head, revealing his neck. “I know you will,” he said. “My good boy.”
Not every vampire had their own human, I treasured it. I treasured him.
“I want to feel it in me first,” I whispered, wiggling around on his hips as he moved the sheet from his lap to reveal the source of all that thick bulging.
Covered in precum, he pressed the thick tip against my hole. I opened myself up for him, relaxing my muscles to invite him inside me. It stretched with an intense tingling pressure. And as I was halfway down the shaft, I grabbed Daddy’s head and neck.
He moved with a rhythm that controlled the both of us, back and forth, up and down. Our pulses and heartbeats matched as I allowed the gentle free pour of blood collect in my mouth.
Sucking from his neck was so cliche, but it was perfect for this position.
I didn’t hear anything he said. The only sounds in my ears were the synchronization of our heartbeats matching up and beating as one. I felt the vibrations of his moans and the faint echo of him calling me a good boy through those vibrations.
Licking the wound clean until it healed, I forced his back to the bed.
“How did it taste?” he asked, wrapping his arms around my back. He rolled us over on the bed. On top of me, he kneeled on the mattress and propped my legs up. “Any complaints?” he whispered through a labored breath as he leaned down on my flexible gymnast legs.
“Like a human juice box,” I said. “Wanna taste?” I stuck my tongue out. His tongue connected to mine, just the tip.
He went harder, almost like he was punishing my hole. And in all fairness, he probably was punishing me with pleasure this way. We were at an impasse with each other, both wanting to move forward, and both struggling to leave this place.
“Cum for me,” his voice turned deep. “Now.” He pulled out and sl
Holding it in my hand, I tugged it. “Ok, Daddy,” I said, gyrating against his fingers. I’d do anything he asked me to in this room. He was the boss of me in here.
“I don’t have long,” he said, pulling his fingers out. He lifted my back and hips to inspect his work. “You wanna be my Twinkie or my toaster strudel this morning?”
My jaw clenched and my toes curled. I shot my load across my chest and to my chin. “Strudel,” I said through deep breaths.
Kneeling on the mattress at my side, Daddy guided my head to the tip of his cock. He smacked my lips with it, teasing my mouth and tongue. He came on my face without warning. He wiped the rest of it off on my tongue.
I licked at the sweetness of his cum from around my mouth before Daddy wiped it all away with a warm washcloth. He cleaned my chest and face.
“Can you pull the blackout blinds down?” I asked him.
“Once I’m dressed, I’ll get you all comfy,” he said, kissing my forehead and ruffling his hand through my hair. “Do you need to go pee before I tuck you in?”
“No,” I said.
“You just had a drink,” he said, squeezing my arm by the metal bracelet we had soldered in place on my wrist. The bracelet was the symbol of us. He was Daddy, and he was in charge. “I think you should try go pee.”
He was right. And I didn’t want to wake up in the middle of the afternoon needing to pee. Eight in the evening was my usual wake up time. “Fine,” I sighed, rolling off the mattress on the cold floor.
My life before being a vampire was different. I worked at a department store selling cologne and perfume. I was the face you saw when you came into the place. I could sell to women as their newest gay friend, and I could sell to men who either wanted to be as young as me or wanted to be inside me. I suppose it was a double-edged sword since that’s how I was discovered by vampires.
I took the moment alone in the cold, industrial style bathroom to reflect on how different everything had become. It had been six years since I was turned. I went from the comfort of luxury, to sleeping on the ground and learning to control my hunger.
In the bedroom, Daddy had already made the bed and placed Ducksworth my cushioned cuddle companion to compensate for not having Daddy to cuddle in bed.
“All ready?” he asked as he hoisted a pair of jeans up his thighs. “I’ll close the blinds before I leave, I just want to get one last look at you.”
I climbed into the bed and waited for him to tuck me in and kiss me again. It was like this most days. We both had different sleeping patterns, naturally. He worked during the day. We only really got a solid five or six hours together each day, and I liked to spend as much of that naked with him.
“I love you,” he said.
“Love you more,” I said as he kissed me, and then kissed Ducksworth.
“Impossible,” he chuckled.
“Yes, possible,” I told him. “I consume you. I have your love in me. I’ve stolen in.”
He tucked the sheet under my body. “You belong to me, baby,” he said. “So, it doesn’t matter, because your love is mine anyway.” He gave me a final kiss. “Now go sleep. I’m probably late.”
As soon as the blackout blinds rolled down, sending the room into absolute darkness, I found my eyelids completely heavy, and before I knew it, I was asleep, hopefully reliving some of my most exciting memories through thought.
TWO
GREGORY
When Conrad spoke to the elders and left the compound, I knew it was the right time to bring it up to my sweet boy, Lochlan. If the vampire elders had been talking about releasing their hold on them, I wanted him to be part of that conversation.
We couldn’t stay here forever. It had given me my life back, so I wasn’t coming at it from a place of hatred. Lochlan and the elders gave me purpose and meaning. Four years ago, when I was homeless and working as a barback to make little money for somewhere to stay each night, which never ended the way it was planned. I usually crashed with a friend until I met Lochlan.
Every day, I was given a list of errands to run by one of the elder vampires. It was usually handed to me by someone else, but the list was usually filled like a scavenger hunt. A list of items the elders wanted before they woke from slumber.
Since they’d left the compound, that list had shrunk. We were waiting for them to return; I didn’t know where they were or what they were doing. I assumed they were setting Conrad up with his own place and space to expand the reach of the compound. I could do that with Lochlan, if he wanted, I didn’t mind, as long as we were both in charge of our lives.
Riding the compact elevator to the underground parking lot, I arrived in the flickering lights and a familiar face stood waiting.
A vampire with its mouth sewn grunted at me. He stood in orange overalls and clutched a metal helmet as if he was about to set off to space or go deep sea diving. I knew he wasn’t, he was my chaperone, Davik.
“I know I’m a couple minutes late,” I said. “Do you have the list? And the keys?”
He nodded as another hoarse grunt came out. In his hands, he held a folded slip of paper and a keyring with a single key and buzzer.
The underground parking lot was filled with fancy cars, each one covered up. The only vehicles on show were the motorcycles and the vans. I wasn’t the only one who had this type of arrangement with the compound.
Today, we had a small van, and looking at the list, I knew why.
“Just dry cleaning?” I asked him.
Davik, for obvious reasons didn’t speak, but he also didn’t look pleased with my questions.
“Then feeding,” I sighed, seeing the second notice. “Are you gonna sit in the back of the van?”
He grunted. Which could’ve been an affirmative or negative response. He slipped the helmet on over his head.
The purpose of a chaperone wasn’t because we were being watched, but in case trouble came. Vampires were territorial, much more so than werewolves, in my opinion, although I’d only come across three werewolves before, and that was before they were murdered for coming on vampire territory.
I drove us out of the underground parking lot, musing over the list. The elders must’ve been on their way back if I was going to pick their dry cleaning up. Blood stains were awful to get out, so most clothes, especially the expensive dress shirts were taken to a specialty dry cleaner.
Rolling to a stop light, I glanced at Davik beside me. Definite astronaut vibes.
“When are you allowed to have your mouth unsewn?” I asked. “In fact, I never asked why it was sewn up in the first place. Surely, it wasn’t anything good.”
He growled. I knew I was off limits from any harm, and I enjoyed pushing buttons of the underlings.
“Did you drain someone?” I continued. “You must be so hungry now.”
Davik pounded a fist onto the console. If there had been airbags installed, they would’ve popped out at us. For the obvious supernatural almost immortal reason, they removed all the airbags from vehicles.
“It’s been two weeks since you’ve had it done.”
Being a chaperone was punishment. They had to take their chances out in the daylight. I’d never run into any problems though.
I drove us to the dry cleaners and parked outside. The snowfall had turned to a slurry on the ground, it was mixed in with the street from the filth. I shivered, staring out at the dry cleaners, pumping myself to step outside.
Davik handed me an envelope filled with cash. “Uh.”
It was owned and operated by an older Russian couple. It was always busy inside, people waiting around with their tickets to be called for collection. I didn’t need to do any of that.
The man, Sergei, greeted me as he came out from behind the counter. He pulled me into a strong hug and with heavy hands, we exchanged rough back patting.
“This is for you,” I said, pressing the envelope of cash to his chest.
“For me,” he chuckled, as if surprised. “I have your clothes ready and waiting.” He gestured to the door. “Let’s go through.”
