Sgt Orlan: Hero of Man
Scott Moon
Sergeant Jack Washington Orlan has a specialized skill set and a variable emotional range. He is a man built to dominate his enemies and paint planets red. As the ruthless victor of any engagement, he appreciates sunsets after well fought battles. The graffiti on his Fleet Single Person Assault Armor is equal to the work of a master engraver; his heavy hands create things of awe-inspiring beauty as he growls at loneliness. It isn’t easy being the meanest dog in the pack. Everything changed and nothing changed after Hellsbreach. The Hero of Man bounty didn’t last long and the Fleet wasted no time aiming him at the next war like a weapon with a pulse. Sergeant Orlan, trained in every discipline of personal combat, never expected to be a father. There are predictable outcomes for organizations that threaten the son of Orlan. What does it meant to be a hero? Orlan has no idea. (This story is best read between Son of Orlan and Weapons of Earth.)

Sing Down the Moon
Scott O'dell
The Spanish Slavers were an ever-present threat to the Navaho way of life. One lovely spring day, fourteen-year-old Bright Morning and her friend Running Bird took their sheep to pasture. The sky was clear blue against the red buttes of the Canyon de Schelly, and the fields and orchards of the Navahos promised a rich harvest. Bright Morning was happy as she gazed across the beautiful valley that was the home of her tribe. She tumed when Black Dog barked, and it was then that she saw the Spanish slavers riding straight toward her. "The forced migration of Navahos from their original homeland in Arizona to Fort Summer, New Mexico, is described from the Indian point of view in a poignantly moving first-person story about Navaho life in the mid-1860's."-THE "Booklist." "Beautifully written, immensely moving, "Sing Down The Moon" is a memorable reading experience--for any age."-Book World. "The very simplicity of the writing, at times almost terse, makes more vivid the tragedy of the eviction and the danger and triumph of the retum. Recommend."-Bulletin of the Center for Children's Books. "An outstanding Book of the Year."- "The New York Times."

Chronicles of Kin Roland 1: Enemy of Man
Part #1 of "Chronicles of Kin Roland" series by Scott E Moon
Science fiction adventure that packs a punch…
Earth Fleet never forgave Kin Roland’s failure at Hellsbreach. Changed by captivity and torture, hunted by the Reapers of Hellsbreach and wanted by the Fleet, Kin hides on a lost planet near an unstable wormhole.
When a distant space battle propels a ravaged Earth Fleet Armada through the same wormhole, a Reaper follows, hunting for the man who burned his home world. Kin fights to save a mysterious native of Crashdown from the Reaper and learns there are worse things in the galaxy than those hunting him. The end is coming and he is about to pay for a sin that will change the galaxy forever.
From the novel…
Kin picked up binoculars from the railing and tracked the progress of each assault force and the efforts of Crater Town’s people. About the time young men surrendered to Fleet troopers in seven-foot-tall armor, the space debris hit. The noise of plummeting ship parts had been minimal from a distance, but as they neared, they ripped through the air, vibrating the lighthouse. Troopers and townspeople ran for shelters, threw themselves on the ground, or gaped at the destruction. Earth exploded. Water erupted into steaming clouds of death. Fires rampaged like demons.
Kin risked a final glance toward the wormhole before descending the tower.
That’s not a Fleet ship.
He jerked the binoculars up.
No military emblems. No weapons. And it’s shaped like a blockade runner.
He watched the small craft drift away from the others, seeming to sneak free of the chaos. Kin didn’t like the feeling in his gut. Dread hollowed him out. He thought of Reapers and stolen technology.
From the Author…

By the Light of a Gibbous Moon
Scott Jäeger
This collection of ten short stories is an homage to the early 20th century writing of Howard Phillips Lovecraft, pulp horror author extraordinaire.
Far beyond the man’s death in 1937, Lovecraft’s unique, disturbed visions still influence every form of modern media from music to film to computer games. This influence remains as ubiquitous as the man’s original works are obscure.
Join me in exploring the themes of arcane investigation, madness and cosmic dread in settings and times as diverse as “Interview With a Lunatic”’s 1920’s insane asylum and “Heartbeat”’s nameless, prehistoric village.

Scott Moon
